The Black Philanthropy Giving Circle (the “Fund”) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 donor-advised fund focused on charitable giving to nonprofit organizations committed to providing services for the betterment of African-Americans within the Baltimore metropolitan area (the “Area”).
Eligibility to Apply
The Fund will accept applications from nonprofit organizations that are Black-led or based in Black communities in the Baltimore metropolitan area. The nonprofit organizations (or their fiscal agents) must be 501(c)3 nonprofits and provide goods or services that directly support Black people and communities.
The Fund seeks proposals from organizations with the following areas of focus, but will consider other areas of focus as defined by the applicant:
- Arts & culture;
- Economic welfare (job placement, workforce training, etc.);
- Education, recreation and youth;
- Community organizing (non-political) and community service;
- Human services;
- Health and wellness.
$25,000 per grant
Deadline to submit proposals: January 31, 2022
